Application Architect - AWS Cloud Migration

Are you an experienced Application Architect with a strong track record in AWS cloud migrations and large-scale transformation programmes? Do you thrive in complex, multi-supplier environments where architecture decisions have a lasting impact?
🌟 About the Role
As an Application Architect - AWS Cloud Migration, you will work closely with the Lead Architect, IBM teams, client stakeholders, and programme delivery teams to support the refactoring, modernization, and migration of critical applications to AWS. You will play a key role in defining, reviewing, and assuring architecture deliverables while ensuring solutions align with business objectives, technical standards, and cloud best practices.

🚀 Key Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Architect in the successful delivery of AWS migration initiatives
- Design and assure target-state application architectures for cloud-based environments
- Create and maintain architecture artefacts, standards, and documentation
- Develop reference architectures and architecture patterns to support programme delivery
- Conduct architecture impact assessments and provide recommendations
- Collaborate with IBM, client teams, and multiple suppliers to ensure aligned solution delivery
- Support application refactoring and modernization activities
- Provide governance and assurance throughout the migration lifecycle
- Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies

🎯 Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering application migrations to AWS
- Strong Application Architecture experience within enterprise environments
- Experience working successfully in multi-supplier delivery environments
- Ability to create and maintain reference architectures, design standards, and architecture roadmaps
- Experience conducting architecture impact analysis
- Strong documentation and architecture artefact creation skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation or migration programmes
