What is this role about?

We are looking for a Liquid Handling Applications Specialist to join our Group at Analytik Jena UK Ltd.

The role involves primarily UK customer facing support and guidance around development of their assays and workflows using our feliX liquid handler plus running User training courses for new customers. Someone who has worked extensively with liquid handling robots in Pharma, Biotech R&D or drug development would be the perfect candidate. If you enjoy coding and developing assay workflows from scratch and interacting with new people building long-term relationships, this is for you.

What tasks to perform?

  • Train new customers at our London facility
  • Script new methods to support customers' assays
  • Prepare and demonstrate the FeliX and its processes to prospective customers with the sales teams
  • Attend and present at conferences where applicable to your work
  • Visit customer sites to troubleshoot and resolve problems when they arise

What can we expect from you?

  • Interface with Sales Personnel and customers to define customers' assays, workflows, and methods throughout the UK
  • Develop, optimize, and create videos of Liquid handling protocols for customers
  • Use video and app content to generate marcoms material for LinkedIn posts
  • Host online qualifying and demo meetings together with Sales persons and qualified customers
  • Generate sales leads from attending conferences, hosting seminars, and making presentations at Pharma sites in the region
  • Create data and app notes to support marketing efforts for FeliX and our partners such as IMCS
  • Demonstrate an up-to-date understanding of Pharma and life science experimental techniques and structures to support internal programmes and training (i.e., Pharma Industry Team)
  • Work remotely with Software Engineers and Product Management to troubleshoot and diagnose any software issues
  • Install & diagnose proprietary CyBio software
  • Write test and demo programs to demonstrate novel processes with collaborators
  • Maintain appropriate agendas and run training courses at customer sites and online
  • Submit on-time paperwork including diary and reports of customer visits
  • Liaise closely with German R&D teams across the various product lines, Innuscreen, qTower auto, FeliX, Carry, and Trobot to maintain an up-to-date field feedback loop
