About The Role
We are seeking a talented Data & Application Developer to join our dynamic team at Ascent. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining business-critical applications, reporting solutions, and data platforms that enhance operational performance and support strategic decision-making. You will work across various domains including development, business intelligence, data management, and automation, playing a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions based on Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, data integration, and automation, with a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex business challenges. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and practical experience, including:
- Proven commercial experience with C#, .NET, SQL Server, and Power BI.
- Experience in developing and supporting production-grade applications.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, APIs, and Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and Power Apps is desirable.
- Additional experience with Microsoft Fabric, SSRS/SSIS, AI, and Machine Learning is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of activities, including but not limited to:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining applications using C# and the .NET framework to support business operations.
- Creating insightful and interactive Power BI dashboards and management information reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Building APIs and integrating various business-critical systems to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
- Developing and optimizing SQL databases, reports, and data models to support analytical and operational requirements.
- Automating manual and repetitive processes using Microsoft technologies to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Collaborating closely with operational and business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Supporting Azure DevOps, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and adopting Agile practices to ensure continuous delivery and improvement.
- Driving innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance existing systems and processes.
