Application Developer (DevOps)

Location: London (Hybrid) / Remote within the UK

UK Citizen status with 5 years UK residency and currently based in the UK

Duration: 12 months

If you're a DevOps-minded Application Developer who enjoys shaping reliable platforms and improving how teams deliver, this is a great opportunity to support nationally critical work with a reputed client. You'll join a team focused on environment management, development and maintenance, and Java feature development and testing—making a real impact for public sector infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Configure and support infrastructure, middleware, and applications using Ansible
  • Develop and maintain solutions using Python and AWS cloud services
  • Support CI/CD through GitLab pipelines
  • Carry out day-to-day UNIX administration and scripting using Bash
  • Work with RHEL operating systems to keep environments stable and performant
  • Contribute to development and testing using Behave/Cucumber
  • Develop, test, and maintain application capabilities within the programme alongside an existing delivery team

What You'll Bring

  • Strong hands-on experience configuring infrastructure and applications with Ansible
  • Solid Python capability and practical AWS cloud experience
