About The Role
Our client in the defense industry is seeking an experienced Application Developer to join their dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and delivering secure digital solutions within highly secure environments, ensuring compliance with stringent security standards. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create robust backend solutions using cutting-edge technologies such as Rust, Python, or Go. The role requires expertise in containerization with Docker and implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline software delivery processes.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building applications with Kotlin Jetpack Compose, utilizing GIT for version control, and developing proof-of-concept applications that adapt to rapidly changing requirements. Given the sensitive nature of the work, all applicants must be sole British nationals and eligible for Security Clearance (SC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects within a secure environment, contributing to national defense initiatives.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in application development within secure or sensitive environments.
- Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Rust, Python, or Go.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker.
- Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in Kotlin Jetpack Compose for application UI development.
- Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly GIT.
- Demonstrated ability to develop proof-of-concept applications rapidly and adapt to evolving requirements.
- British nationality and eligibility for SC Clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure digital applications tailored to highly sensitive environments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate requirements into functional solutions.
- Utilize Rust, Python, or Go to build robust backend systems.
- Implement containerization strategies using Docker to ensure scalable and portable solutions.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and integration processes.
- Create user interfaces using Kotlin Jetpack Compose, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Manage version control using GIT, maintaining code integrity and facilitating collaboration.
- Develop proof-of-concept applications to validate ideas and adapt swiftly to changing project needs.
- Ensure all solutions comply with security protocols and standards specific to defense projects.
- Participate in security reviews, risk assessments, and audits to uphold the integrity of digital solutions.
