Application Developer (Remote UK)

Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Application Developer to support the development, maintenance and improvement of software applications.

This is a strong opportunity for an entry-level developer who has a good understanding of programming fundamentals, enjoys solving technical problems and wants to build practical experience in a professional remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of software applications
  • Write clean, structured and maintainable code
  • Assist with testing, debugging and resolving application issues
  • Help develop and improve application features
  • Work with APIs, databases and application data where required
  • Support system integrations and technical improvements
  • Participate in code reviews and development discussions
  • Maintain clear technical documentation
  • Follow development standards and good coding practices
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver reliable software solutions

Requirements

  • Good understanding of software development fundamentals
  • Knowledge of at least one modern programming language or framework
  • Understanding of web or application development concepts
  • Basic knowledge of databases and data handling
  • Familiarity with APIs and system integrations
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control tools is beneficial
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Degree, qualification or practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related area is beneficial
