ABOUT

Osprey Engineering Solutions are hiring for a leading global pump manufacturer, providing a comprehensive range of pumping products, systems, technical solutions, and service across the water, wastewater, agriculture, industrial, commercial, facilities management, and building services markets.

💼 THE ROLE

They’re looking for an Internal Applications Engineer to provide high-quality technical support and application engineering expertise across our pump product ranges. Working closely with Sales, Operations, Service, and customers, you'll ensure the correct selection, specification, and application of pumping equipment — delivering technically and commercially effective solutions.

✅ RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Support & Applications

  • Provide support and advice to customers, distributors, and internal sales teams
  • Select and specify suitable pumps and associated equipment based on customer requirements
  • Assist with the preparation of technical quotations and proposals
  • Review customer specifications, tender documents, and technical requirements
  • Manage processing and customer relationships

Product Knowledge & Development

  • Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of our pump ranges

Sales & Customer Support

  • Support internal and external sales teams with technical expertise
  • Build strong relationships with customers and distributors
  • Assist with resolving technical queries and application challenges

Operational Support

  • Work closely with Operations and Purchasing teams to ensure correct product selection and availability
  • Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers regarding technical queries
  • Maintain accurate technical records and documentation

WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING FOR

Essential

  • Previous experience within the pump industry, water industry, mechanical engineering, or a related technical environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers and colleagues
