🚨 TECHNICAL SALES SUPPORT – FLEXIBLE PACKAGING 🚨

📍 UK Based | Flexible Packaging | Food Sector

I’m working with an established packaging manufacturer looking to strengthen its technical team with the appointment of an Technical Sales Support Application Engineer. This is a varied, customer-facing position that will suit someone with a strong understanding of flexible packaging materials and applications who enjoys solving problems, supporting customers and working closely with commercial teams.

The successful individual will act as an important technical link between customers, sales and manufacturing, supporting projects from initial discussions and product development through to trials and successful implementation.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You’ll be involved in:

  • Providing technical support to customers across the UK
  • Supporting customer trials, product development and new applications
  • Troubleshooting packaging and performance issues
  • Working alongside sales to provide the technical expertise behind customer opportunities
  • Recommending suitable materials and packaging solutions
  • Supporting projects through development and into commercial production
  • Building strong relationships with customer technical and operational teams
  • Working collaboratively with internal manufacturing and technical functions
  • Supporting continuous improvement and new product initiatives

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

I’m keen to speak with technically minded individuals who have experience within flexible packaging, films, food packaging or a closely related sector. You could currently be working within:

Knowledge of areas such as flexible films, laminates, sealing, barrier properties, coatings, converting processes would be particularly relevant. Most importantly, you’ll need to be technically capable, comfortable dealing directly with customers and able to translate technical knowledge into practical solutions and commercial opportunities.

I’m very open to speaking Engineers and other technically focussed flexible packaging professionals and/or people from adjacent technical backgrounds who have the right packaging knowledge and customer-facing capability.
