Applications Engineer
We’re looking for an Applications Engineer to support the integration, commissioning and troubleshooting of advanced navigation and sensing technology across autonomous, robotic, marine and defence applications.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role for someone who enjoys working across hardware, software and data. You’ll help customers integrate complex sensing systems onto real-world platforms, investigate technical issues and support systems through commissioning and deployment.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong systems integration, applications or field engineering experience
- Hands-on integration and troubleshooting of electronic / sensor-based systems
- Comfortable working across hardware, software and data
- Experience analysing logs, test data and system behaviour to diagnose issues
- Strong customer-facing communication and technical problem-solving skills
- Experience integrating systems onto autonomous, robotic, marine or similarly complex platforms
- Comfortable supporting commissioning, testing and real-world deployments

Additional Information
- Open to permanent & Contract
- Competitive salary/rate depending on experience
- UK-based role (North East)
- Customer-facing position combining technical engineering with real-world applications
- Opportunity to work across autonomous, robotics, marine and defence environments
- Some customer-site / deployment travel should be expected
