About us
Established in 1995, Third Dimension builds handheld non-contact measurement systems which deliver a market leading capability to manufactures worldwide. We design, assemble, and calibrate these systems in house. We rely on a global network of distributors to sell and support our product in 40+ countries around the world.
Summary
Third Dimension is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Application Engineer to join our sales team. In this role, you will become a technical expert in the function and use of our products, and take on responsibility for delivering that expertise to our customers around the world. You will work closely with our engineering team to test new features, and communicate proven functionality to our partners and customers in support of the sales team. You will also work closely with our marketing team to communicate product features and benefits to a wider audience. As an Application Engineer you will report to the Sales Director. This role has scope for future progression, which is encouraged.

Responsibilities
- Be the 'technical expert' in the use of our products
- Visit and collaborate with customers to understand their requirements
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure smooth and timely delivery of projects
- Deliver training to partners and customers
- Assess and resolve customer issues
- Stay up to date with the latest products and technologies in our field
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in a technical role
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally (1 - 2 trips per month)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Confident presenting information and delivering training
- Confident with basic IT concepts and principals
- Metrology experience or demonstrable understanding

- £32k - £45k dependant on experience
