Applications Engineer
Elevation Recruitment Group’s Design & Projects team are working with an established engineering business to recruit an Applications Engineer into its growing global technical and sales function.
This is a genuinely technical role, focused on understanding customer applications, solving engineering problems and developing practical solutions, rather than traditional sales.
The Role
You’ll act as the technical link between customers, sales and engineering, managing enquiries and projects from initial requirements through to solution, validation and delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding customer applications and translating requirements into practical solutions.
- Configuring and adapting established engineered products.
- Managing multiple technical enquiries and projects simultaneously.
- Supporting technical proposals, quotations and solution documentation.
- Working with engineering teams on modifications and bespoke requirements.
- Providing technical support and resolving application queries.
- Occasional customer site visits and UK/international travel.
- Feeding customer insight into product development and continuous improvement.

About You
We're looking for an experienced engineer with:
- 5+ years' engineering experience within an industrial, manufacturing or engineering environment.
- A strong technical background and proven problem-solving ability.
- Experience dealing directly with customers on technical/application queries.
- Experience specifying, configuring or adapting engineered products.
- Strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- A self-starting approach and excellent communication skills.
