Role Overview

We are looking for a talented and adaptable Application Engineer to join our Business Systems team. This is a T-shaped role: you will bring deep technical expertise in at least one discipline that is of direct value to the team (Azure Integration Services and REST APIs, SQL, Power Platform or Fabric), and combine it with the breadth and curiosity to act as a technical product owner across a defined portfolio of business-critical applications.

You will be comfortable talking to a range of people and translating technical ideas for non-technical audiences. You will work closely with business users, technology colleagues, and third-party vendors to ensure your portfolio of applications remains reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned to the firm's evolving needs. This will require strong troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of system integrations, data structures and flows, and application architecture, as well as practical experience of managing the operational health of applications, including application configuration, patching, and upgrade management. This is an excellent opportunity to help shape and improve our technology landscape, enhance operational efficiency, and drive digital and cloud transformation.

We are a close-knit and supportive team of 15 people, dedicated to sharing knowledge and cross-skilling to support and improve the diverse set of business-critical applications we look after. We are more interested in the quality of your technical thinking and your track record as a developer and product owner than in the specific languages you have coded in or the products you have previously managed. Above all, we are looking for someone with the flexibility and appetite to pick up new technologies and take ownership of whatever tools and platforms the role requires, which will include:

Application Portfolios

It is likely that the successful candidate will initially take joint ownership of one of the following application portfolios, dependent on their background and the team's priorities at the time of joining.

Document Management

Products in the portfolio include: iManage products (Work, SPM, IRM and RAVN), SharePoint, and HighQ

Finance

Products in the portfolio include: Elite 3E, OneAdvanced Time Capture (Carpe Diem), Emburse (expenses management), and payroll systems

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
