Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Jira & Confluence Application and Maintenance Support Engineer to manage, support, maintain, and enhance Atlassian Jira and Confluence platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring platform stability, user support, administration, configuration, integrations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Atlassian ecosystem.
The role requires strong technical expertise in Jira and Confluence administration, stakeholder management, troubleshooting, automation, and enterprise collaboration tools.
Location & Security Requirements
Candidates who have previously held Security Check (SC) Clearance or are eligible to obtain SC Clearance will be preferred.
Candidate should be based within reasonable commuting distance of Stevenage, United Kingdom, or be willing to travel regularly to the Stevenage office/customer site as required.
Responsibilities
Jira & Confluence Administration Responsibilities
- Administer Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence environments.
- Configure and maintain projects, issue types, workflows, screens, field configurations, permissions, notification schemes, and security schemes.
- Create and manage Confluence spaces, templates, knowledge bases, and content governance.
- Manage user provisioning, groups, roles, and access permissions.
- Configure Scrum and Kanban boards, dashboards, filters, reports, and Advanced Roadmaps.
- Support Agile teams with Jira best practices and process improvements.

Support & Operations Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 support for Jira, Confluence, and JSM platforms.
- Troubleshoot platform, workflow, permission, and integration issues.
- Monitor application health, performance, backups, and maintenance activities.
- Handle incident, service request, and enhancement activities within defined SLAs.
- Support user onboarding, training, and documentation.
- Work with JCMA and CCMA migration tools.
