Application Operations Engineer
Location: Exeter (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite)
Rate: £530 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 12 Months
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
Are you an experienced Application Operations Engineer looking to support a modern, business-critical platform within a collaborative technical environment?
We're looking for an Application Operations Engineer to join a growing operations support team responsible for maintaining and supporting a next-generation application platform. You'll play a key role in ensuring applications remain secure, stable, and available while supporting users, managing incidents and changes, and contributing to continuous service improvements.

- Support, manage and maintain business-critical applications.
- Configure and manage application products and services.
- Monitor application performance and scheduled processes.
- Manage Incidents, Problems and Changes using an ITSM platform.
- Perform user and security administration.
- Carry out routine maintenance and operational support activities.
- Assist with testing and validation of new functionality.
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and service delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in Application Support or Application Operations.
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Management principles.
- Experience with Incident, Problem and Change Management.
- Experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, BMC Helix or similar.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Configuration management experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative support team.
