Application Packaging & Deployment Engineer
12-month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Remote with occasional travel to the office (expenses paid)
Clearance: Active UK SC (Security Clearance) required
We're looking for an experienced SOE SME / Application Packaging & Deployment Engineer to join our end-user computing team on a fixed-term basis. You'll be the go-to expert for packaging, deploying and maintaining applications across a large enterprise estate, using SCCM and Intune to deliver reliable, compliant and well-documented deployments. This is a hands-on, senior-level role suited to someone with deep SCCM and PowerShell expertise who enjoys solving complex deployment problems and modernising legacy applications.

- Create and maintain application packages using tools such as AdminStudio, InstallShield and PowerShell.
- Repackage legacy applications for modern deployment platforms, including Intune and MSIX.
- Deploy applications through SCCM and Intune, ensuring correct user- or device-based targeting and compliance with licensing models.
- Maintain and update deployment collections, boundary groups and distribution points.
- Troubleshoot deployment failures and remediate issues across pre-production and production environments.
- Raise Change Requests and attend CAB meetings, supporting change management processes and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all packaging and deployment processes.
- Work closely with application owners, the service desk and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and validate deployments.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Active UK SC clearance.
- L3-level SCCM (Current Branch) expertise, including application deployment, reporting and troubleshooting.
- L3-level PowerShell scripting, plus proficiency in VBScript and Batch.
- Proven experience in application packaging (MSI, MSIX, App-V).
- Solid knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and Windows 10/11 environments.
- Experience working within formal change management frameworks (Change Requests, CAB).
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot and Conditional Access.
- Background in large enterprise environments
