Title: Application Security Architect
Type: Contract | ASAP START - 31/03/2027
Day Rate: £582.28 (Umbrella Equivalent Rate)
Location: Remote

Our client is seeking a Application Security Architect to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Define the cloud security framework and architecture, ensuring alignment with business requirements and performance goals.
- Document the implementation of cloud security controls.
- Support the transition to cloud security-managed operations.
- Lead the design and continuous improvement of cloud security strategies in line with evolving business needs and technological advancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into cloud infrastructure and application development.
- Analyse emerging security threats and recommend proactive measures to safeguard cloud environments.
- Evaluate and support the adoption of new cloud security tools and technologies to improve operational efficiency and risk management.
- Provide solutions to complex security challenges affecting multiple teams.
- Take responsibility for team decisions and contribute to key decisions across the programme.
- Support and mentor team members by sharing expertise and promoting a culture of security awareness and innovation.
- Manage and collaborate with the team to ensure effective delivery.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Cloud Security Planning.
- Strong experience defining cloud security frameworks and architectures.
- Experience implementing and documenting cloud security controls.
- Experience supporting cloud security-managed operations.
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure Security.
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Security Architecture.
- Experience conducting Cloud Security Assessments.
- Knowledge of Managed Cloud Security Services.
- Ability to operate as a subject matter expert.
- Experience collaborating with and influencing multiple cross-functional teams.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving and team leadership capabilities.
