This Application Specialist position is an exciting opportunity to support sales journeys, deliver customer-ready solutions, and help turn qualified opportunities into successful outcomes in the metal cutting and materials technology industry. What You Will Do

  • Support account teams by delivering technical product and application expertise to customers and distributors, ensuring solutions meet real needs.
  • Coordinate technical and commercial stakeholders to build integrated solutions and progress projects from start to finish alongside Account Managers.
  • Visit current and potential accounts to strengthen relationships, answer complex technical questions, and help secure profitable business outcomes in line with agreed priorities.
  • Provide product and solution training for internal teams, external partners, and customers, ensuring successful adoption after implementation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after implementation, maintaining high-quality deployment and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep sales activity information accurate within the CRM system, supporting consistent reporting and enabling smooth deal progression.

What You Will Bring

  • Strong technical background in metal cutting tools and practical application knowledge, including CAD/CAM exposure where relevant.
  • Experience supporting projects and delivering results, with an organised, structured approach to working across a complex matrix environment.
  • Confident communication skills, including the ability to make clear technical presentations and write in professional English.
  • Knowledge of digital technologies in metalworking and an interest in continuous improvement, including productivity and LEAN ways of working.
  • A recognised apprenticeship within the industry and at least an HNC level qualification, plus a valid driving licence and a willingness to travel.
