About the Role
As an Application Specialist – Medical Physics for this specialist provider of radiotherapy and diagnostic imaging technologies, you’ll support customers in hospitals across the country (Southern England focus), supported by experienced colleagues who’ll train and mentor you.
You’ll demonstrate, install, train, and provide technical support on an advanced range of radiotherapy hardware and software. This includes patient and machine QA devices, AI-driven software for mapping tumours, an SGRT system, and patient positioning and immobilisation medical devices.
As an Application Specialist, you’ll build loyal relationships with Medical Physicists / Radiotherapy Physicists / Clinical Scientists, Radiotherapy and Dosimetry teams. Taking a sincere interest in their work and how these solutions improve clinical practice.

Sharing a large but very manageable territory, you’ll average 1-2 nights away from home per week and collaborate with dedicated customers and colleagues.

REQUIREMENTS
- Degree educated in Medical Physics, Medical Radiation Physics, or Physics, ideally graduated within the last year or two. Applicants currently on, or who’ve recently left, the NHS Scientist Training Programme are also welcome to apply.
- An interest in hands-on engineering and computing/IT alongside the physics itself, and comfort with the idea of hardware and software installation as well as product training.
- Articulate, confident, professional, and self-motivated, with a high comfort level with technology and software, and genuine enjoyment in training others.
- Based in the South UK with a full driving licence, ideally with good road links e.g. London, Crawley, Oxford, Reading, Milton Keynes, Southampton, Swindon, Cardiff, and Bristol. We will consider other locations south of Birmingham.

PACKAGE
- Salary guide: up to £30-35,000, depending on experience, a company car or £7200 annual car allowance, bonus, pension, 25 days annual leave, and more.
