Senior Digital ASIC Design Engineer - Whiteley
A leading semiconductor company is looking for a Senior Digital ASIC Design Engineer to join its engineering team in Whiteley.
This is a hands-on role combining digital design, simulation, and low-level programming, with the opportunity to work on complex ICs from specification through to pre-silicon validation and beyond.
What you’ll be doing
- Reviewing and developing RTL against technical specifications
- Running chip simulations and pre-silicon screening
- Writing low-level code, including Assembler, to exercise chip functionality
- Supporting the definition of new features for next-generation products
- Investigating issues across digital and mixed-signal areas
- Working closely with engineers across design, software, and hardware

Required Experience
- Strong understanding of digital ASIC design and RTL
- Experience with chip simulation and pre-silicon validation
- Experience working with chip databases or similar design environments
- Low-level programming experience, ideally including Assembler
- Ability to work from detailed technical specifications and investigate design issues
- Good understanding of digital systems and how they operate at chip level

Mixed-signal IC experience would be beneficial, particularly exposure to analogue and digital interaction, but is not essential.
