About The Role
Our Reading-based client is seeking an Application Support Analyst to join their dynamic Support team on a permanent basis. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, with occasional travel to their Reading office as needed. The successful candidate will work closely with a global support team and report directly to the Support Manager. The primary focus of this role is to provide high-quality application support for their software applications, which are developed using a combination of.Net and mobile technologies. The role involves troubleshooting, deployment, and client communication, ensuring that customer issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-centric approach to support.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in application support or related roles, with proficiency in SQL and scripting languages. A solid understanding of .Net technologies and mobile platforms is essential. Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a remote support environment is advantageous. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if complemented by relevant experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure are also key requirements.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for clients across multiple global locations, providing timely and effective support for software applications.
- Log, investigate, and resolve customer requests, ensuring adherence to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while maintaining transparent communication with clients.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and providing clear, professional communication throughout the support process.
- Perform remote deployment and configuration of applications, with occasional on-site visits when necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including support request records, troubleshooting guides, and process documentation to facilitate ongoing support and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct testing and quality assurance on new and existing software releases to ensure stability and performance standards are met.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve support processes and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Provide training sessions to clients and colleagues to facilitate better understanding and usage of software applications.
- Participate in scheduled out-of-hours on-call support to address urgent client issues outside of regular working hours.
