Application Support Developer
Location: Morley, Leeds / Hybrid
At Evri, we're on a mission to keep our technology moving as fast as our parcels. We're looking for an Application Support Developer to join our Level 2 Development Support team, supporting the critical systems that help deliver millions of parcels across the UK every week.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working with cloud-based applications, and using their coding skills to improve the stability, performance and reliability of business-critical systems.
What You'll Do
- Provide 2nd line support for complex, internally developed applications
- Take ownership of technical incidents and drive them through to resolution
- Investigate and resolve issues using logs, monitoring tools, application metrics and SQL queries
- Work closely with Development, Infrastructure and third-party suppliers to troubleshoot complex problems
- Support Incident, Problem, Change and Knowledge Management processes
- Help maintain and continuously improve production environments, with a focus on automation and operational efficiency
- Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact customers and colleagues
- Support the successful release of new features and applications into production
- Create and maintain knowledge articles, runbooks and troubleshooting documentation
- Contribute to service improvements that enhance system performance, stability and user experience
- Participate in an on-call rota providing out-of-hours support

What You'll Bring
- Experience in Application Support, IT Support or a similar technical role
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications, ideally within AWS environments
- SQL experience and the ability to query and analyse data effectively
- Knowledge of application logs, monitoring tools and debugging techniques
- Familiarity with APIs, integrations and Windows/Linux environments
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and service excellence
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
- IT-related degree, equivalent qualification or relevant industry experience
