Application Support Consultant (Remote – South Africa)
About the Company
We are a growing specialist consultancy that delivers enterprise automation and workflow solutions to customers across the UK, Europe, South Africa, and internationally.
Our team designs, develops, and supports business process automation solutions using leading technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform, Nintex K2, and Nintex Automation Cloud, integrating them with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, SQL Server, and other business systems.
The Role
This is a fully remote position based in South Africa.
You'll provide first- and second-line application support for workflow and automation solutions, working closely with customers, consultants, and developers to investigate issues, identify root causes, and deliver effective resolutions.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Support
- Take ownership of customer support tickets from initial investigation through to resolution.
- Troubleshoot application, workflow, and integration issues.
- Provide technical support via Microsoft Teams, email, and remote sessions.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with customers throughout the support process.
- Prioritise incidents according to business impact and agreed service levels.
- Escalate complex issues where necessary.
- Maintain accurate support records within Jira.

Technical Investigation
- Analyse workflow, automation, forms, and integration issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and reproduce reported problems.
- Troubleshoot SQL database issues using queries.
- Investigate failures between integrated business systems.
- Assist with deployment validation and post-release support.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term improvements.
Collaboration
- Work closely with developers and consultants to resolve customer issues.
- Assist with solution testing and verification.
- Support project delivery activities where required.
- Create technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the support team.

Requirements
Essential
- 3+ years' experience in an Application Support, Technical Support, Helpdesk, or similar role.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting customers in a technical environment.
- Experience managing support tickets through to resolution.
- Strong SQL query writing and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
Desirable
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Microsoft Power Platform

- Microsoft 365
- SharePoint Online
- Microsoft Copilot or Copilot Studio
- SQL Server
