Application Support Engineer to join a fast-paced trading and brokerage environment - OUTside IR35

You must be a Mandarin speaker, as the role involves regular communication and collaboration with stakeholders in China (but you will be working UK Hours.) As an App Support engineer you'll be supporting applications across the full trading lifecycle & multiple different asset classes. As an App support engineer you'll gain genuine exposure to front-to-back trading operations, multiple asset classes, and international stakeholders. The role

  • Work closely with stakeholders and teams across London and China
  • Provide application support within a trading/brokerage environment
  • Support systems across the front, middle and back office
  • Gain exposure to multiple asset classes and trading workflows
  • Investigate incidents, troubleshoot issues and drive problems through to resolution
  • Work closely with development, infrastructure, trading and business teams
  • Help improve application stability, processes and operational performance

The role will also give you significant exposure to exciting technology projects, including the onboarding of new products and asset classes into both bespoke and off-the-shelf trading platforms. You’ll be involved in understanding business requirements, supporting implementations and ensuring new products can successfully flow through the trading lifecycle from front to back office. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in the implementation of a brand-new trading system supporting their growing energy trading business, giving you hands-on exposure to a major technology transformation within the brokerage.
