About The Role

Our client, a leading organization specializing in medical imaging technology and clinical research, is seeking an Application Support Engineer / Developer to join its dynamic technology team. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of educational background and technical expertise, including:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience working within Linux/Unix environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
  • Experience working with SQL databases and data management.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within production environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable qualifications include experience with Java and/or C#, familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Git, front-end development (preferably with React), Agile methodologies, and knowledge of medical imaging technologies or DICOM standards.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Providing comprehensive end-to-end support for legacy and modern clinical imaging platforms, ensuring their stability and performance.
  • Managing and prioritizing technical support requests, troubleshooting issues across multiple environments, and resolving them efficiently.
  • Developing and maintaining scripts to support platform configuration, automation, and data management tasks.
  • Contributing to the development of new features and functionalities for both legacy and cloud-based applications to enhance system capabilities.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve existing workflows, processes, and system performance to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating closely with development teams to interpret technical requirements and implement solutions effectively.
  • Acting as a technical liaison for developers, testers, and internal teams, facilitating smooth communication and project execution.
  • Producing and maintaining clear, comprehensive technical documentation to support ongoing system maintenance and upgrades.
  • Supporting the evolution of development standards and internal processes to align with best practices and industry standards.
