Job Title: Application Operations Engineer
Location: Remote (Exeter)
Contract Length: 12 Months
Rate: £500 - £525 a Day
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain products within the Vortex platform.
- Utilise technologies such as Handlebars.js/Moustache.js for product template logic and Typst for product output layouts.
- Support the onboarding of new products by collaborating with Product Managers, Service Delivery Managers, and other stakeholders.
- Manage product reconfiguration and ongoing optimisation following implementation.
- Work closely with the wider support team to ensure platform stability and performance.
- Manage Changes, Incidents, and Problems through ServiceNow.

- Experience supporting, maintaining, or administering business-critical applications and services.
- Understanding of configuration management and maintaining secure, accurate system configurations.
- Knowledge of service availability, capacity management, and KPI-driven service support.
- Experience implementing change requests and following change control procedures.
- Ability to identify, log, investigate, and manage incidents through to resolution.
- Understanding of problem management and root cause investigation techniques.
- Experience carrying out routine technical support, maintenance, and administration activities.
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management tools would be advantageous.
- Exposure to templating languages such as Handlebars.js or Moustache.js and layout technologies such as Typst would be beneficial.
