Application Support Engineer
Working Pattern: Office based with occasional travel
Our client is looking for an Application Support Engineer to join their internal technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business that continues to invest in its systems and technology, offering the chance to work on a range of business-critical applications and projects.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day support for key business applications, working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party software providers to resolve issues, coordinate system updates and contribute to ongoing improvements.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for a range of business-critical applications.
- Investigate and resolve application-related issues.
- Coordinate software updates, patches and deployments with third-party suppliers.
- Support system upgrades, testing and new feature releases.
- Assist with user acceptance testing and maintain system documentation.
- Monitor application performance and help maintain data quality.
- Work with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements and identify system improvements.
- Contribute to application and business systems projects.

Requirements
- Previous experience in an Application Support, Systems Support or similar role.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical users.
- Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard desktop applications.
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience
- Supporting ERP or CRM applications.
- Exposure to reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Knowledge of SQL, PowerShell, Windows or Linux.
- Understanding of ITIL or structured service management environments.
