Job Description

Working as a part of the CTO team, the role will need to engage with technology leads in data, corporate technology and information security – as well as more broadly with program, project and delivery managers. The role will also engage with key stakeholders in the business areas.

As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting core application within Shawbrook, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, robustness and security.
  • Providing operational end user support for Shawbrook and subsidiaries – playing a key role in driving efficiency, enhancing user experience, and maintaining the stability of our end user systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, a related field or proven professional experience (preferred)
  • Proven experience in application support or technical support within the banking or financial industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with banking regulations and compliance requirements
  • AWS/Azure cloud experience
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
