About the Role
We’re looking for an Application Support Analyst to join our Group Enterprise Application Support Team and play a key role in keeping our business-critical systems, including Dynamics 365, running at their best. The successful person will be working closely with the Group Head of Enterprise Applications, Associate Application Support Analyst and Programme and Project teams, helping develop, maintain and support systems that enable the efficient delivery of services and information across the business.
What you will be doing in this role
- Support and maintain the Midwich application systems to the highest possible standard with maximum levels of attainable productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct problem analysis and resolution for complex application problems, in conjunction with the users and external application or service suppliers where necessary.
- Contribute to the application problem analysis and resolution service for complex application problems in conjunction with the users and application suppliers.
- Participate in small IT application projects and assist users to run their application projects, providing technical and project control input where required.
- Improve or recommend improvements for application functionality and performance and provide suggestions for system and business improvements in conjunction with third parties, where necessary.
- Analyse user processes and produce data and process flow diagrams as well as reports and recommendations for improvements.
- Assist in developing procedures and documentation for application support.
- Support decision making on application configuration, upgrades packages and releases.
- Communicate to appropriate levels within IT and the business serious issues which have impacted or may impact if left unresolved.
- Analyse administration data from systems and produce technical and business reports for consumption by departmental managers, where necessary.
- Analyse user processes and produce data and process flow diagrams as well as reports and recommendations for improvements. Work with departments to design and implement more effective business processes.
- Monitor interfaces, defined operational system processes and data extracts associated with the business systems and ensure their smooth running.
- Support the 1st Line support team to ensure they have the skills appropriate to their role regarding the D365 ecosystem.

What you will bring to the role
- Expertise in one or more D365 Products – F&O, CRM or SCM.
- A sound understanding of technical IT issues to enable discussions with internal and external technical specialists.
- A sound understanding of applications and data security.
- Experience in all aspects of providing IT applications support to users in a customer focused environment.
- Experience of analysing user needs and requirements, mapping process and documenting the results to facilitate the support process.
- Experience of supporting ERP systems and an understanding of their architecture.
- Ability to create clear, accurate, and professional technical documentation for systems, integrations, and customisations performed on the system.
- Experience in other technologies such as SQL, PowerBI, Logic Apps, Azure Data Storage, and Power platform.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
