Application Support Engineer –.NET 10 + React

Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Support Engineer having.NET 10, React and SQL Server skills to join our support team and work closely with agile delivery squads. The role focuses on incident triage and resolution, ServiceNow-based ticket management, and implementing small enhancements using ADO or Jira.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support.
- Triage, investigate, and resolve production incidents and service requests within SLA timelines.
- Manage production incidents, service requests, and problem records in ServiceNow; keep tickets updated and communicate status to stakeholders.
- Implement small enhancements, bug fixes, and hotfixes in.NET 10 applications as part of agile sprints or ad-hoc requests.
- Support applications developed using.NET 10, React, jQuery and SQL Server.
- Diagnose and resolve SQL Server issues: writing queries, investigating performance, and supporting DB deployments.
- Perform root-cause analysis and prepare permanent fixes or workarounds.
- Develop minor enhancements, bug fixes, and configuration changes.
- Support REST-based integrations and troubleshoot API-related issues.
- Collaborate with development, database, infrastructure, and business teams.
- Prepare technical documentation, knowledge articles and support procedures.
- Participate in on-call or shift-based support, if required.

Mandatory Skills
- Hands-on development/support experience with.NET 10 (C#).
- Front-end experience with React (component-based development, debugging).
- Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, performance tuning, stored procedures, troubleshooting).
- Practical experience with ServiceNow (incident/change/problem management and basic admin/configuration).
- Strong knowledge of C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Experience troubleshooting web applications in production.
- Expertise in SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with debugging tools, application logs, and performance analysis.
- Good incident-management and communication skills.

Secondary Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and related services.
- Good understanding of Insurance domain.
- REST and SOAP web services.
- IIS administration and deployment troubleshooting.
- Entity Framework or equivalent ORM technology.
- Windows services and scheduled jobs.
- Azure DevOps, TFS, or similar source-control and deployment tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes (Azure DevOps pipelines preferred).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Angular, React.
Experience and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in.NET 10, React application development or application support.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in production.
- Experience working in ITIL-based support environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
