About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically strong EQD Application Support Engineer to support applications within an Equities Derivatives trading environment. The role focuses on maintaining system stability, resolving production issues, and supporting business-critical trading platforms.
What you'll do
- Provide L2/L3 application support within an EQD trading environment
- Investigate and resolve production incidents (P1/P2) impacting trading systems
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventative improvements
- Monitor systems proactively and address issues before business impact
- Work closely with traders, developers, and infrastructure teams
- Support releases, deployments, and BAU activities

What you'll bring
- Strong Linux/Unix command line skills (processes, logs, troubleshooting)
- Hands-on scripting experience (Python and/or Bash)
- Strong SQL skills (querying, data analysis, troubleshooting)
- Proven experience in application / production support
- Knowledge of Equities / Equities Derivatives (EQD) products
- Experience in trading systems or front-office environments
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Geneos, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.)
- Rights to work in the UK is essential
