Application / Platform Manager | London
£70,000 - £90,000 + Benefits
NOTE: This is not a Developer position.
An organisation within the investment sector is looking for an Application / Platform Manager to take ownership of a suite of business-critical applications and data platforms.
This is not a traditional Application Engineer or Developer role. We're looking for someone commercially minded who sits between the business, technology, data and end users, ensuring platforms continue to evolve with changing business needs.
The role combines Platform Management, Business Analysis and Application Support, with responsibility for requirements gathering, platform configuration, change management, user support and overseeing new system implementations and enhancements.
What You'll Do
- Own and continuously improve a portfolio of business-critical SaaS applications and platforms
- Gather and translate business requirements into effective platform solutions
- Manage configuration, change requests, enhancements and system lifecycles
- Support users and stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Oversee new platform implementations, integrations and enhancements
- Work with technology vendors and implementation partners
- Ensure platforms remain scalable, sustainable and fit for purpose
- Identify opportunities for automation, improved processes and better use of data

What They're Looking For
- Experience in Platform Management, Application Management, Business Systems or Application Support
- Strong experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technology solutions
- Experience managing SaaS, cloud or low-code platforms
- Commercially aware with a strong understanding of business priorities
- Confident working with senior stakeholders, technical teams and end users
- Experience managing change, configuration and third-party suppliers
- Technically curious, but not a software developer looking for a development-focused role

The environment is SaaS-first, cloud-native and low-code, with exposure across CRM, portfolio management, Microsoft 365, data, reporting, automation and AI-enabled business platforms.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, data governance, workflow automation or systems integration would be advantageous.
