What we are looking for:

We're looking for an Applications Analyst to join our technology team at Farnborough Airport, Europe's leading business aviation airport. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in Service Desk, Application Support, Systems Administration, Software Testing, QA or IT Projects who wants to build a specialist career supporting and improving business-critical applications.

Working closely with the Applications Manager, you'll help support a diverse portfolio of systems used across the Airport, Aviator Hotel and wider Group businesses. You'll gain exposure to application administration, software projects, testing, supplier management, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Role Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and maintaining business applications across the Airport and Group.
  • Administering users, permissions and system configuration.
  • Investigating and resolving complex application issues.
  • Working with software suppliers to manage incidents, upgrades and enhancements.
  • Supporting software implementations, upgrades and digital improvement projects.
  • Assisting with testing, user acceptance activities and release management.
  • Helping stakeholders access and utilise application data and reporting.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and user experience.
  • Consistently demonstrate and encourage others to adhere to the company values of Proud, Passionate, Ambition and Together.
  • Contribute to the Company’s aspiration of becoming an Employer of Choice and Responsibility in the local area by actively participating in our volunteering opportunities where possible.
  • Demonstrate engagement with and adherence to the Company’s policies, procedures, guidelines, wellbeing initiatives and reporting channels to ensure all work is carried out safely and to the highest standards, including but not limited to:
    • Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Compliance and Environmental standards / legislation.
    • Aerodrome license and CAA standards.
    • Appropriate Workplace Behaviour, UK Modern Slavery and General Data Protection & Retention (GDPR) Policies.
  • Support the team with adhoc activities/tasks as reasonably requested.

About you: Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Evidence of Right to Work in the UK.
  • Full 5-year employment/educational history required (with no unaccounted-for gaps).
  • Able to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check (CRC) certificate to the required security clearance level for this role.
  • Hold a full valid UK Driving License or equivalent.
  • Experience in:
    • Service Desk, Application Support, Systems Administration, Software Testing, QA or a similar IT role.
    • Troubleshooting software and application issues.
    • Managing users, permissions and system access.
    • Working with business stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
    • Supporting business systems in a live operational environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience of airport, aviation or hotel systems.
  • Exposure to Power BI or reporting tools.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience supporting software implementations or business system projects.
