Role Description
The Applications, Development and Data Team Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Rochdale. This position oversees the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications and data services across the council.

- Managing a multidisciplinary team
- Prioritizing workloads
- Coordinating development and integration projects

- Working closely with stakeholders to understand service needs, translating these into technical solutions

Qualifications
- Strong leadership and people management skills, including experience in supervising multidisciplinary technical teams and fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture.
- Proficiency in application development and support, such as overseeing system design, configuration, integration, testing, and maintenance for enterprise or line-of-business systems.
- Solid data management capabilities, including data governance, reporting, analytics, data quality assurance, and understanding of information security and compliance requirements.
- Experience in IT service management, including incident and problem resolution, change management, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external partners, translating business needs into technical requirements and clear delivery plans.
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in IT, computer science, information systems, data analytics, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of public sector or local government environments, and familiarity with digital transformation and modernisation of services, is desirable.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to agreed deadlines.
