About The Role
The Applications Engineer role at WR HVAC is a vital position aimed at providing expert technical support and developing tailored refrigeration solutions for a diverse customer base. This role involves working closely with clients, sales teams, and suppliers to specify and recommend appropriate refrigeration equipment and components. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in commercial refrigeration systems, with proven experience in selecting and specifying refrigeration equipment and components. A comprehensive understanding of compressors, controls, heat exchangers, and associated equipment is essential. Previous experience in applications, design, or technical support roles will be highly advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, customer-facing abilities, and a proactive approach to technical challenges. A full UK driving licence is required to facilitate visits to clients and suppliers as needed.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical and application support to both internal teams and external customers.
- Selecting and specifying suitable refrigeration equipment and components based on customer requirements.
- Developing innovative technical solutions.
- Preparing detailed quotations and technical documentation.
- Supporting the sales team with technical inquiries.
- Assisting with project management.
- Liaising effectively with customers, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and project delivery.
- Staying updated on the latest industry trends and product developments to provide informed advice and support to clients and colleagues alike.
