Due to significant growth and expansion, a global leader has a new vacancy for an Application Engineer to join the team. As technical expert you will provide guidance and consult on best tooling practices and product selection, candidates are sought with a good understanding of Carbide cutting tools.

The Role

  • Provide technical guidance and expertise on cutting tool applications and best practice.
  • Report on the progress of technical projects to the sales team and regional management.
  • Identify wear mechanisms and recommend solutions to maximize use.
  • Collaborate with the team to respond effectively to customer needs and requirements.
  • Determine if tooling is being used correctly and identify wear and use issues.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide product training and direction.

  • A good understanding of Carbide cutting tools and best practice.
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and prioritise own time.
  • Preferably a time served engineer with experience in automotive, aerospace or oil & gas industries.
