Warner Hotels runs a portfolio of over 160 applications and services across commercial, hotel operations, F&B, corporate, and back-office domains. The Application Manager sits at the heart of making those applications work well for the business — ensuring they are properly configured, optimised, supported, and aligned to business needs.

There are three Application Manager roles sitting within the Architecture & Applications team, each covering a cluster of domains: Commercial, Channels & Payments; Hotel and F&B operations applications; and corporate applications such as Finance, HR, Procurement, etc.

Key Responsibilities For The Applications Manager Will Be

Application Support & Optimisation

  • Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders across your application domain — triaging issues, managing resolution through suppliers, and ensuring applications are functioning to expected standards.
  • Proactively identify configuration gaps, workarounds, and underutilised functionality that can be addressed to improve business outcomes.
  • Manage application upgrade and release schedules within your domain, coordinating with suppliers, IT, and business teams.

Vendor & Licence Management

  • Own day-to-day vendor relationships for assigned applications — managing support tickets, escalations, and SLA adherence.
  • Maintain accurate records of licences, user entitlements, and contract renewal dates within your domain.
  • Support the Head of Architecture & Applications in vendor performance reviews and contract negotiations.

Application Rationalisation

  • Contribute to the application rationalisation programme by identifying duplication, under-utilisation, and consolidation opportunities within your domain.
  • Provide data and analysis to support business cases for rationalisation decisions.

Business Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders — understanding their workflows, pain points, and requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into application configuration or change requests, working with vendors and the wider technology team to deliver.

The Technical Toolkit You'll Need To Have

  • Application support and administration across SaaS platforms.
  • Hospitality, finance, or operational application landscapes (by domain of appointment).
  • ITIL service management principles — incident, change, and release management.
  • Data and reporting basics: ability to extract and interpret data from business applications.
  • Microsoft 365 and collaboration tooling.
  • 3+ years in an application support (6+ for commercial applications), systems administration, or business systems analyst role.
  • Experience supporting SaaS applications in a multi-system environment.
  • Domain experience in one or more of: hospitality operations (PMS, POS), finance/ERP, or commercial/CRM.
  • Consumer sector or multi-site experience preferred.
