Applications & SAP Lead
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Rate: £400 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Length: 24-Month Contract
Schedule: 4 Days On-Site | On-Site Parking

Akkodis is partnering with a technology-driven organisation undergoing significant digital transformation. We're looking for an experienced Applications & SAP Lead to take ownership of a business-critical applications estate, with SAP at the heart of operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on applications strategy, SAP governance, supplier management, cyber assurance, and the delivery of key technology projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the organisation's enterprise application landscape, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
- Oversee SAP operations, upgrades, integrations, and support providers.
- Manage third-party suppliers, contracts, licensing, and service delivery.
- Deliver application projects, enhancements, and change initiatives.
- Support cyber security controls, audits, and incident management.
- Act as the key escalation point for major application-related issues.

Key Skills & Experience
- Enterprise Applications, Business Systems, or Applications Management experience.
- Strong SAP governance and change management knowledge.
- Experience managing outsourced service providers and vendors.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Knowledge of IT controls, cyber security, and operational best practices.
- Proven track record delivering application and transformation projects.
