To make electronics, you need chips, wafers, transistors, reticles, and... To make these, you must see, test and manufacture them at scale—faster and better than ever before. That's where KLA comes in. Whether you're early in your career or an experienced professional, you'll solve complex challenges, work alongside brilliant minds and help shape the future of technology.

Group/Division

The KLA Services team consists of Service Sales, Marketing, Spares Supply Chain Management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, Digital Solutions and Analytics, and Technical Product Support. Our services organization maximizes the value of our customers' KLA assets – with highly trained service and product support engineers providing installation services and 24/7 technical support and parts delivery through our extensive supply chain network.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

The Applications Technical Trainer's main responsibility will be to instruct SPTS customer service engineers and process engineers how to run SPTS process applications on SPTS modules. The instructor will be required to analyse the knowledge required by the field team and build structured training courses to meet these requirements. In addition to training SPTS engineers, training will also need to be delivered to SPTS customers. Customer training may be delivered at the KLA training facility or at the customer site so some international travel will be vital, as well as working closely with the SPTS engineering teams to develop applications training for new products. As well as face to face training, a key element will be partnering with the multimedia team to develop online training courses and AR/VR applications. There may be a requirement for the instructor to deliver applications training on a range of SPTS products.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
