Applied AI Engineer
We’re looking for an Applied AI Engineer to join a growing AI organisation and work closely with the research and engineering teams to build high-quality, production-grade AI systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build solutions using LLMs, RAG and related AI technologies
- Develop and maintain high-quality production software
- Architect and maintain microservice-based systems
- Take ownership of technical problems from concept through to production
- Work closely with research and engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Provide technical guidance and support to more junior engineers

You’ll ideally have:
- Experience building LLM-driven systems, including RAG
- Commercial Python development experience
- Strong understanding of clean, maintainable and well-tested software
- Fluency with agentic tooling
- Excellent technical communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree from a leading or internationally recognised university
- A strong product mindset and focus on delivering user value
- A self-starting, creative approach to problem solving

Desirable Experience:
- Deep learning and traditional machine learning
- LLM fine-tuning
- Microservice architecture
- Modern LLM tooling and evaluation approaches
Further Information
- The role is paying up to £140,000pa + bonus and is based in London with Hybrid working on offer.
- This role is not providing sponsorship.
