Title: Applied AI Engineer
Time: Full-Time (UK Hours)
Location: Remote (UK or Europe - preference for London, Spain, Portugal, or Poland)
Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 USD + Competitive Equity
The Company
Our client is building the AI operating system for residential lettings. Its growing network of agencies provides its AI with real-world data, continuous feedback, and control over complete workflows, making exceptional service the standard for landlords and tenants.
Role Overview
Our client is a UK-based property management platform that grows by acquiring and integrating letting agencies. This role is focused on scaling the company's AI engine, which automates tenant find, property management, and finance. As an Applied AI Engineer, you will unify existing AI flows, build a robust evaluation layer, and scale the agentic infrastructure to handle future acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities
- Unify existing AI flows and scale agentic infrastructure to support rapid growth and agency acquisitions.
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade agentic systems, decomposing tasks, orchestrating subagents, and implementing tool use with structured outputs.
- Establish robust evaluation layers, feedback loops, and metrics to continuously optimize latency, cost, reliability, and hallucination rates.
- Drive backend engineering initiatives to ensure seamless integration between the AI engine and core platform infrastructure.
- Collaborate on continuous feedback mechanisms to turn real-world operational data into improved AI workflows.

Technical Stack
- Languages & Runtimes: TypeScript, Node.js, Python
- Databases: PostgreSQL
- AI Architecture: LLM Orchestration, Agentic Workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong backend foundation.
- Proven track record of building and shipping AI or agentic systems in production environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing production LLM performance metrics, including latency, cost, reliability, hallucinations, and evaluation framework design.
- Prior experience at an AI-native company or fast-paced startup building hands-on agentic systems.
- Fully authorized to work remotely within the UK or Europe without requiring visa sponsorship.
