🚀 We’re Hiring: Applied Engineer | UK 🇬🇧
We’re looking for 4 Applied Engineers to join a fast-growing, well-funded team building and shipping software at high speed. This is a highly hands-on role for engineers who enjoy owning customer projects end-to-end, solving complex problems, and turning one-off solutions into scalable products.
🔧 What you’ll do
- Own customer projects from discovery and design through development, deployment, and verification.
- Build migration and integration pipelines using Temporal or similar durable workflow orchestration tools.
- Work with customer accounting data in PostgreSQL, including data reconciliation and production migrations.
- Build internal tools that transform recurring solutions into scalable systems.
- Integrate third-party APIs and work with webhooks and rate limits.
- Identify recurring patterns and help turn them into core product capabilities.
- Work closely with customers and non-technical finance stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Help shorten the path from customer request → shipped product.

💻 Must-have experience
- 5+ years shipping production software end-to-end.
- Proven experience delivering directly with customers.
- Django + Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Advanced PostgreSQL knowledge beyond standard ORM usage.
- Experience reading query plans.
- Experience performing migrations against live production/customer data.
- Next.js, React + TypeScript.
- Durable workflow orchestration — Temporal preferred; Celery or equivalent accepted.
- Third-party APIs and webhooks.
- Experience working with rate limits.
- Experience reconciling data across different systems.
- Strong ownership, autonomy, communication, and problem-solving skills.
⭐ Nice to have
- Accounting, ERP, or fintech experience.
- Knowledge of double-entry accounting, chart of accounts, financial close, AP/AR, or revenue recognition.
- Previous forward-deployed, applied, or special-projects engineering experience.
- Strong judgment around when to build a quick script vs. a complete system.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.

- 💰 Base salary: USD 150,000 – 280,000/year
