Amplify Talent Development Programme

Amplify is a talent development programme for early to mid-career musicians and people working in the music sector across Bradford District.

Amplify aims to increase quality and ambition within the Bradford District music sector, creating more opportunities for artists and promoters, connecting to national networks and supporting growth in the sector.

Amplify will offer a bespoke package of support to successful applicants including:

  • A development grant of £750
  • A bespoke package of mentoring from someone working specifically in your field
  • Industry masterclasses
  • Additional tailored resources to suit your specific needs.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this programme, be aged 18+ and live in or make creative work in Bradford, or have another strong demonstrable connection to Bradford District.

You must also meet one or more of the below criteria.

Musicians

  • You’re a musician who has been releasing for at least 12 months. Live performance experience is a plus!
  • Bands can apply but one application will need to be made from a lead band member, and support must be shared across the band, not duplicated individually.

Producers, composers and/or songwriters

  • You have been producing, composing or writing music for at least 12 months and can provide examples.

Music manager, promoter, publishing, A&R, and/or other music management and business professions

  • You have a deep love of music, and are able to evidence that you can impact the music business with your skills and experience.
  • Or have been working with artists or on events for at least 12 months.
  • You must provide examples of events you have put on, projects you have created through social media coverage, event footage or testimonials from artists you’ve worked with.

Independent music journalists or content creators

  • You’ve been writing or creating content about music or other creative projects for at least 12 months and can provide examples.

Key Dates

Much Of The Amplify Programme Will Be Tailored To You And Your Development Needs, Though Everyone On The Programme Will Roughly Follow The Timeline Below

  • 3 September: Applications Open
  • 30 September: Applications Close
  • Friday 9 October: Places on the programme will be confirmed
  • w/c 12 October 2026: Kick off meetings:
  • 12 October to 18 December 2026: Mentoring & bespoke planning sessions and masterclasses.
  • January 2027 – March 2027: Music Development Labs or Organisational Support, Masterclasses & Showcase Festival or events.
