Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) in Scotland
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) in Scotland to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying, managing, and overseeing all lifting operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and optimising operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and Coordination: Survey site, conduct risk assessments, and ensure all operations are executed safely and efficiently.
- Compliance: Ensure all lifting activities comply with relevant health and safety legislation, standards, and guidelines.
- Team Management: Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, slingers, and other site operatives to execute lifting operations effectively.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of lifting plans, risk assessments, and safety briefings.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during lifting operations promptly and effectively.

Qualifications
- Certification: CPCS Accredited Appointed Person, CPCS Lifting Supervisor & CPCS Slinger (Lifting Operations)
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the telecoms, construction, or heavy industry sectors.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of lifting operations, equipment, and health and safety regulations.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to various sites across Scotland/North East as required. Will be required to stay away from home as/when needed.
