The Role

The successful candidate will have responsibility for developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, preparing quotations, and providing technically accurate lifting solutions. You will also be responsible for producing method statements and risk assessments and ensuring that lifting operations are properly planned in accordance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out site visits and surveys
  • Produce detailed Method statement and risk assessments
  • Assess lifting requirements and determine suitable cranes, lifting equipment, and accessories.
  • Liaise with customers to understand their technical requirements.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and tenders for crane and lifting work.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the lifting and construction sectors.
  • Provide technical advice and practical lifting solutions to customers.
  • Ensure proposed lifting operations comply with relevant legislation, guidance, and industry best practice.
  • Follow up quotations and convert opportunities into work.
  • Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, and customer interactions.
  • Represent Bronzeshield professionally at customer meetings and on site.

About You

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical lifting knowledge with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude. Ideally, you will have:

  • A valid, in-date CPCS for A61 Appointed Person
  • Proven experience within the crane, lifting, or construction industry.
  • Experience working as an Appointed Person and producing lifting plans.
  • A strong understanding of crane operations, lifting equipment, and lifting accessories.
  • Knowledge of relevant lifting legislation and industry standards.
  • The ability to interpret site requirements and develop practical lifting solutions.
  • A professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Good commercial awareness and the ability to identify sales opportunities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • The ability to work independently while also being an effective member of a team.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications such as CPCS Appointed Person, A61, NPORS, or equivalent are required.
  • Additional lifting, crane, or construction qualifications will be advantageous.
