Swingate is an independent, full service creative and marketing agency based in Basingstoke. Established in 1997, we’ve spent nearly three decades helping brands build, create, design, write, and market delivering everything from graphic design, video and web to social media, email marketing and content creation.
We bring energy, talent and authenticity to everything we do, and we’re now investing in growing our sales function. That’s where you come in.
Role Description
You’ll be the first point of contact for prospective clients, identifying the right people, opening conversations, and booking qualified meetings for our Head of Business Development. This is a focused role with a clear measure of success: quality appointments in the diary.

What we’re looking for
- Comfortable and confident on the phone, you don’t mind picking it up cold
- Clear, professional written English for email and LinkedIn outreach
- Resilient and self-motivated; you understand that a “no” is just data
- Organised, with the discipline to keep a CRM tidy
- Curious about marketing and creative services, and able to hold an intelligent conversation about them
- Previous SDR, appointment setting, telemarketing or B2B sales experience is welcome, but attitude and work ethic matter more

Nice to have
- Experience selling into marketing teams or within an agency environment
- Familiarity with tools like Apollo, HubSpot or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Understanding of B2B tech, IT channel or professional services markets
