The Role
As an Apprentice Accounts Assistant, you will be an integral part of our finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting activities and gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. This full-time, permanent role offers comprehensive training and development opportunities designed to build your skills and knowledge in the accountancy field.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with processing invoices and purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Support the preparation and reconciliation of financial records, including bank statements and ledgers.
- Help maintain accurate records of company expenses and ensure timely data entry.
- Collaborate with the team to support month-end and year-end accounting procedures.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams regarding account queries.
- Assist in preparing reports and financial summaries as required.
- Develop an understanding of accounting software and financial systems used within the company.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Qualifications And Skills
- Minimum GCSEs grade C/4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- A keen interest in accountancy and finance with a desire to learn and develop professionally.
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to take on new challenges.
