A Working Week

With the appropriate support and supervision, you’ll carry out a variety of tasks to help the office run smoothly and deliver excellent client service:

  • Handle communications, including answering calls, responding to emails, and directing enquiries professionally.
  • Carry out reception duties, welcoming visitors and creating a positive first impression.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post, including sorting, scanning, saving documents, and using the franking machine.
  • Provide administrative support such as data entry, filing, scanning, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Once trained on company systems, assist with preparing and managing client letters, tax documents, dealing with anti-money laundering checks, and validation of client ID.
  • Support general office organisation, including scheduling meetings and managing team calendars.
  • Liaise with external organisations such as HMRC and Companies House, handling queries and submitting documentation.
  • Develop strong communication, organisational, and time management skills in a professional environment.

Apprenticeship Details

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

  • Apprenticeship Standard: Work towards your Apprenticeship Standard in Level 3 Business Admin.
  • Dedicated Assessor: The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course.
  • Monthly Release Programme: Attend Lincoln College, one day a month, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.
  • Course Outline: Apprenticeship Standard in Level 3 Business Admin

Qualifications and Requirements

  • GCSE in: English and Maths (grade A*/9 – C/4)
  • Other Relevant Qualifications and Experience: Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
  • Transport: Due to the location of the business, having access to your own transport is essential, as there is no public transport serving the business park.
