Apprentice Business Administrator

MB Medical Solutions is looking for a proactive person to join their team as an Apprentice Business Administrator. This will be a busy and varied hands-on role supporting their Training and Event divisions as well as general day-to-day admin operations while studying to achieve their Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship.

What you will gain:

  • The chance to become an integral team member supporting course bookings, marketing, compliance paperwork and equipment management for their growing training division
  • A Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship qualification

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Training:

  • Managing course enquiries, bookings, invoices and the training calendar
  • Sending joining instructions and managing cancellations/waitlists
  • Updating their website for both Training/event work and the new clinic
  • Maintaining the client/prospect database and following up enquiries training and event work
  • Preparing course packs, registers and certificates, and managing the Qualsafe learner portal
  • Maintaining trainer files and the training equipment register (manikins, AEDs, trauma kits)

Events:

  • Tracking consumable stock and coordinating equipment transport to on-site courses and events
  • Supporting a simple revenue log for management reporting
  • Assisting the Event logistics manager with event prep ahead of large events

General:

  • Sending wait emails to general enquiries
  • Helping to streamline CEO Emails
  • Updating their onboarding platform
  • Maintaining and logging patient records
  • Filing records in line with awarding body requirements and supporting their quality assurance process

  • Someone who can travel to Goodwood Racecourse each day and occasionally to other sites to support courses

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Course contents

Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Math (grade 4)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

What you need to know:

  • This is an in-person role so you need to make sure you can travel daily to MB Medical Solutions who are based at Goodwood Racecourse.
  • Please note there is no public transport to the location so own transport would be an advantage
  • This is an 18-month apprenticeship including end point assessment
  • Learning is work-based and will take up 6 hours in one day for the working week
  • To apply you must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years before the start date of the apprenticeship learning and have authorisation to work in the UK
  • You cannot apply if you already have a qualification equal to or higher than the apprenticeship standard being studied
  • You can apply if you have a higher qualification than the apprenticeship standard in an unrelated subject
  • You should live in the area local to the employer and the college campus offering the apprenticeship
  • This is a combination of work and learning so you will need to commit to the learning and stay at the employers until the apprenticeship is successfully completed
