The Royal Oak in Winchester

The Royal Oak in Winchester is a historic pub considered to be one of the oldest in England, with parts of the building dating back as far as 1002 AD when it was the residence of Queen Emma. Hidden down a cobbled passage, the low ceiling beams and wood-panelled walls feel like a true celebration of the building's rich heritage. The family-friendly spot has a delicious food menu packed with pub classics and a well-stocked bar to serve up your drink of choice. Our spacious beer garden is great for those warmer days, and we're dog-friendly, so bring your pet pooches along. Our social calendar is packed with fun events, including our competitive quiz nights. We've also got free Wi-Fi for ease, and we offer functions if you're looking for somewhere to celebrate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
