Grange Moor Primary School And Birdsedge First School
The Mast Academy Trust is seeking enthusiastic, committed and caring individuals to join our school communities through our apprenticeship programme.
We currently have opportunities available at both Grange Moor Primary School and Birdsedge First School for:
Apprentice Educational Support Assistant (Level 3)
Apprentice Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 5)
These roles offer an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in education while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Apprentice Educational Support Assistant (Level 3)
This role is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in education. You will work alongside teaching staff to support pupils in their learning, wellbeing and development, helping children access learning in a positive and inclusive environment.
Apprentice Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 5)
This role is suitable for an experienced Educational Support Assistant who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will support teaching and learning through delivering interventions, working with groups and individuals, and leading whole-class sessions where appropriate under the direction of teaching staff.
We Are Looking For Individuals Who
- Are enthusiastic about working with children.
- Are reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Show initiative and a willingness to learn and develop.
- Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- For the Level 5 HLTA apprenticeship, have relevant experience supporting teaching and learning in a school environment.
